The project "Local Contours - Photographic City Narratives" invites photographers to participate in the open call for a two-part international photography residency in Panevėžys. Panevėžys is an important regional city in Lithuania, whose industrial heritage, urban structure, and social dynamics are currently undergoing active transformations. These changes raise questions about preserving local identity, creating new cultural meanings, and visions for the future of the city. Creativity center Prãgiedruliai is in one of the oldest parks in Panevėžys, Skaistakalnis Park, surrounded by nature. The park area was formed in pagan times, which is where the name of the park itself comes from. Prãgiedruliai mission is based on a shared creative process, openness, and community involvement, as well as support for artistic research, creative production, education, and social interaction. The project invites us to look at the city not only as a living or functional space, but as a living, multi-layered field of creativity, where architecture, history, everyday life, and social processes become the basis for artistic reflection. Format: two-part residency. Part I: June 29–July 3, Part II: August 3–August 7
